M Family Front Porch Session

Hadn’t had too much opportunity to see friends with the quarantine and all, so I was happy when they reached out to me for some quick front porch photos. It was nice to see everyone and get to catch up even just for a short time. We were able to take some bright beachy looking photos.
I am really looking forward to the end of this pandemic so that outside of taking photos here and there, I am able to see smiling faces, chat with friends and family in person and make some more lasting memories.

Here’s to getting through this pandemic! See you soon friends!

S Family Front Porch Session

This family photo session was filled with smiles and some great coordinating colors. I loved the blue and yellows together. I was happy to see this local family, because I hadn’t seen them for so long due to quarantine. As you can see, we had another pup was included in this photo session as well. So happy to provide an opportunity to get a quick session in during quarantine(was 6 ft. away) and updated family photos. Looking forward to seeing everyone again throughout the school year!

Mom and Daughter Photo Session

It’s super exciting when moms get the opportunity to be in the photo, especially when they are generally the ones taking the photos, scheduling and documenting life. These photos absolutely bring joy to my heart as it shows that these two absolutely love each other dearly. An outdoor session on a super sunny day with two smiling faces.

S Family Front Porch Session

Huge smiles were going all around, but I doubt it was because I was there to take their photos. As I came up to the house to get started, I was a few questions and found out that they were headed on a vacation the next day, so I am sure that was the reason for all the smiles since they were getting everything ready that evening to head out. Honestly, a little get away to see family is a much needed break from the quarantining that we have all had to do these last several months. As I took each photo, I was smiling behind the camera thinking of excited I was for them to be getting away and having an upcoming adventure.

The greatest things about taking photos and getting to know the families that I get to meet, is feeling the joy and happiness that they feel when they tell me more about themselves, the things that they are doing and of course, watching them smile and laugh on the other side of the lens.

My hope is that the family had fun on their vacation and that they were able to make lasting memories.

R Family Front Porch Session

Family front porch sessions were a hit for the short time that I ran these sessions. I was happy to get a message from this family who are neighborhood friends of mine. We were able to take some fresh new photos of their family with their new pup! What an adorable dog! Congrats to these first time pup owners!

It was also great for me to just get out and see people even if it was from a distance. 🙂

L Family Front Porch Session

Did some quick front porch sessions throughout the pandemic of some local families. This one was one of my first ones and it was absolutely adorable! I loved that front porch! Also, the kiddos were super cute and the fact that the puppies and chicken were involved was amazing!

S’s Communion Photos

Just another Communion photo session at Sayen Gardens to capture what would have been in May had the pandemic not occurred. I absolutely love seeing how lovely the dresses look and the pretty smiles on their faces when they come to take photos with me. I am incredibly blessed to have the families that I do come and trust me with capturing moments in their lives.

So sweet!

A’s Communion Photos

With the pandemic shutting many businesses, travel, events and activities down, there were no scheduled Communions happening in the month of May. Not knowing when Communion would be rescheduled for, we still took the opportunity to go out and get some photos when the parks were re-opened.

Quick trip to Sayen Gardens and we were capturing images left and right!

2020 Catch up!

Woah! What a year so far! 2020 has come in with a massive blow and we are only half way through it. 3 months into the new year we were hit with this global pandemic that we are still currently living through, which altered the way we work and live. Our new normal becoming WFH(work from home), virtual learning, social distancing, quarantine mode, face masks and re-teaching of personal hygiene(“wash your hands!”). For some it’s been quite the challenge, while for others they embraced the slow down of life and turned that negative, right into a positive, in that sense. We gave props where props where due…Thank you to all the healthcare workers, teachers, truck drivers and everyone keeping things moving as smoothly as possible.

We are now into August and it’s been 5 months living through this global pandemic. With school just around the corner for the kids and no solidified plan yet in site to start. Who would have thought we’d ever be living through something like this?! All we can do is document these unprecedented times, be respectful of others, stay safe, enjoy and live life the best we can.

Here’s to a better year and years ahead of us.
